"loved throne" — catchoo original artwork on vintage upcycled sofa

this is a declaration sofa "loved" hand painted on a victorian-style baroque velvet sofa, circa 1960s–1970s. the piece was found in exceptional condition glamorous tufted salmon velvet, carved lacquered hardwood frame, ornate cabriole legs intact and unmarked by time. no maker's label was found, but the quality of construction speaks clearly: this is a piece built to last a century, and it has.

it has been transformed it into something the world hasn't seen before ~ with spray painted "love" in loose graffiti lettering and cushions carry three original catchooniverse characters in bold fabric paint: choo choo bomb, love OG and north star. the arms and sides are detailed with marker drawn characters, critters, superflower and symbols from the catchooniverse. the reverse panel features an elegant hand-drawn wave garland with a crystal centerpiece ~ art nouveau energy meeting street art line work.
